MACRO CLEAN Project Steering Committee Meeting Held in İstanbul
The Steering Committee Meeting of the MACRO CLEAN Project – Research, Cleaning Methodologies, Economic Valorization and Pilot Application for Macroalgal Blooms, supported by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme, was held in İstanbul on 12–13 October 2026, hosted by the Marmara Municipalities Union (MMU).

Participation in Future Fish Eurasia - 12th International Fair for Seafood Export and Processing, Aquaculture and Fisheries Technologies
Sinop University Faculty of Fisheries participated in the Future Fish Eurasia - 12th International Fair for Seafood Export and Processing, Aquaculture and Fisheries Technologies, held in İzmir, and conducted discussions with sector stakeholders on university–industry cooperation, new collaborations within the scope of Workplace Vocational Training, and employment opportunities for students.

The “Acceleration Programme for Blue Economy and Macroalgae”, conducted within the MACRO CLEAN Project and supported by the European Union’s Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Program, is progressing at full speed.

The entrepreneurs selected for Acceleration Programme for Blue Economy and Macroalgae have been announced.
Implemented under MACRO CLEAN Project, Acceleration Programme for Blue Economy and Macroalgae was launched to support innovative initiatives related to the blue economy and macroalgae (seaweed) ecosystem. A total of 11 entrepreneurs have been selected to participate in the programme.
